FOUND A GRAVE

His nickname was Little Pussy and he was a Captain in the Genovese Organized Crime Family. New Jersey was the base of his operations all his life. His older brother John, who was also member of the Genovese Family, was nicknamed Big Pussy. During the 1960s, FBI wiretaps overheard New Jersey mobsters telling the story of how the Russo brothers earned their nicknames. It was said that when the two were young they would burglarize houses and be “as quiet as cats.” Anthony was murdered in Long Branch, New Jersey on April 26,1979, while on an Easter furlough from prison. He is buried along with his in-law’s in their family plot. His name is not on the headstone.
