Benny McCrary

Entertainer. Born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, he along with his brother Billy, were identical twins. At 743 and 723 pounds and having 84 inch waists, the brothers were discovered by Life Magazine. They entered show business as carnival performers and appeared in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they were in a act playing the trumpet and told jokes to 400lbs go-go dancers. They also appeared as tag team wrestlers, did daredevil stunts wearing cowboy outfits, and rode mini-motorcycles. They were also mentioned in the Guiness Book of World Records. Billy died of injuries he received from a motorcycle stunt in 1979, in Niagara Falls, New York. Benny died at age 54 in March 2001. They are both buried together under a huge grave in Hendersonville with two mini-motorcycles etched onto it.
